YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2023-07-14 18:04:32 – USA

Carnegie, a sustainable textiles and acoustical management solutions provider, has introduced the Hygeia Collection. It is a new high-performance sustainable textile line that offers solutions for upholstery and window drapery to ensure health and wellness spaces.

Mary Holt, Chief Design Strategist at Carnegie said, “The health and wellness sector is evolving rapidly due to critical challenges like inflation, labor shortages, dropping reimbursements, supply issues, and more. As a result, there is a major initiative in the industry to create new hospitality-inspired environments that promote wellness, help workers be more productive, and improve consumer experience. Carnegie’s Hygeia Collection was created to rise to these challenges, offering classically beautiful designs in a variety of fabric types while adhering to the highest sustainability standards and offering unbeatable performance, durability and cleanability.”

This new collection features fully recycled textiles. The first coated product is also introduced in Carnegie’s Elements collection, which offers a pen and ink resistant polyurethane providing all the performance of vinyl, with zero health and safety concerns.

All the textile materials featured in this collection are PVC and PFAS free. The upholstery fabrics are tested and can withstand 100,000 to 250,000 double rubs. This makes them highly durable as well as easy to clean. This collection proved that the beautiful and high-performance solutions can also be delivered sustainably.
