Indorama unveils skin-friendly deja Care PET fibers

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2025-10-14 14:57:43 – Thailand

Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited, a global leader in sustainable chemicals, has introduced a new range of skin-friendly PET fibres and filament yarns for apparel. The products have been tested against 17 harmful substances and certified under international standards, including OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, DIN EN 71-3, and ISO 17294-2.

Launched under the brand deja Care, the new range is developed using more environmentally friendly chemicals during the PET polymerization process. This innovation allows brands and manufacturers to create safe, skin-sensitive products such as certified maternity wear, underwear, children’s and infants’ clothing, school uniforms, and everyday essentials that come in close contact with the skin.

All deja Care fibres and yarns are produced in fully integrated facilities across Asia, ensuring complete control and traceability throughout the production process. After proving their effectiveness in hygiene products such as baby wipes and diapers, these fibres are now being extended to apparel, providing brands with a reliable and sustainable alternative.

In addition to being gentle on the skin, the fibres support cleaner manufacturing by reducing water pollution and minimizing sludge generation and disposal during fabric processing. This helps promote more sustainable and environmentally responsible textile production.
