The Carpet Export Promotion Council is organizing 33rd India Carpet Expo, is one the largest sourcing platform of handmade carpet in Asia for the buyers from all over the globe to source the best handmade carpets, rugs and other floor coverings under one roof. This unique sourcing platform for Handmade carpets and other floor coverings will take place in New Delhi under the aegis of Government of India.
It has become a famous destination for handmade carpets across the globe. India’s ability in adapting to any type of design, colour, quality and size as per the carpet buyer’s specification has made it a household name in international market.
More than 300 exhibitors will display their products at the India Carpet Expo. Around 400 carpet importers from 60 countries, mainly from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Chile, Germany, Mexico, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey, UK and the US are expected to visit the expo.
For the first time, the expo will also see buyers from countries like Bulgaria, Israel, Malaysia, Mauritius, Taiwan, Zimbabwe, Vietnam, Serbia and Hungary.
This Expo has now established as Asia’s biggest Handmade carpet show with its ever growing patronage from buyers all over the world. There are tremendous business opportunities for participating manufacturers and exporters as various prominent Overseas Handmade Carpet Buyers from all over the world will be attending this Expo.
The show mainly aims to promote cultural heritage and weaving skills of Indian handmade carpets and other floor coverings among the visiting overseas carpet buyers.
Carpets and floorings are an integral part of Indian homes and the history of Indian carpets features its development using mats and durries with a variety of material, ranging from wool, cotton, jute, coir, bamboo and grass.
