Hyosung TNC will present its latest textile innovations made from renewable and recycled resources at Première Vision Paris, taking place from 1 to 3 September 2026. The innovations will be presented under the event’s “Facing Fashion Forward” theme, which focuses on how new technologies can move from development to practical and scalable solutions for the fashion industry.

One of the main products on display will be the company’s new regen Bio elastane, which is made using bio-based BDO derived from sugarcane. The technology has been developed to reduce the use of fossil-based resources in the production of elastane.

At Hyosung’s integrated manufacturing facilities in Vietnam, sugar sourced from sugarcane verified under the VIVE Sustainable Supply Program is fermented to produce bio-BDO. This is then converted into Bio-PTMG and used to produce regen Bio elastane for apparel applications.

Bio-BDO is chemically identical to conventional BDO, allowing it to be used directly within existing elastane manufacturing processes. According to Hyosung, regen Bio elastane offers performance, durability, stretch and recovery properties comparable to conventional elastane.

Hyosung will also introduce its new regen Luchera nylon, which combines a soft feel and deep shine with everyday comfort. The material is designed for clothing that can transition between active environments and casual everyday settings.

Concept garments developed by Hyosung’s Fashion Design Centre will demonstrate how the company’s performance fibres can be used in finished apparel. Visitors will also be able to view and handle a selection of fabrics at Hyosung’s stand in Hall 2, Booth 2S38.
