Huntsman Corporation has begun building a 30-ton MIRALON® carbon nanotube materials plant. This plant will be among the biggest of its kind in the Americas. It's a significant step in bringing the MIRALON® technology to a larger scale.

MIRALON® carbon products are made from carbon nanotubes, incredibly tiny structures that are super strong and light. They have a range of applications in aerospace, automotive, construction, and more, such as electric vehicle batteries, high-performance composites, and even better tires. What's unique about this plant is that it not only produces these advanced materials but also creates clean hydrogen during the process. Hydrogen is a clean fuel in high demand for a sustainable future.

This manufacturing process is environmentally friendly, emitting very little to no CO2. It's a step towards reducing the carbon footprint in various industries and supporting the transition to cleaner energy.

The construction of this plant is expected to be finished by the end of 2023, aligning with their plans from 2021. Huntsman Corporation is excited to work with customers to innovate and develop solutions using MIRALON® materials.
