HTEC aims to increase its home textiles exports to $600mn by end 2017

The Egyptian Home Textile Export Council (HTEC) aims to increase its exports to some $600 million by the end of 2017, recording an increase of 14 percent, said head of the HTEC Saeed Ahmed.

In the first nine months of 2017, exports of the home textiles sector increased by three percent reach $375 million, compared with $365 million in the same period last year,

The home textiles sector, with some 38 Egyptian companies will be participating in the Heimtextil exhibition, the event is the world’s biggest textile exhibition, which makes it a good opportunity to sign new export contracts with companies at the exhibition, said Ahmed.

Heimtextil, the biggest International Trade Fair for Home and Contract Textiles, to be held from 9-12 January 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany.
