H&M collaborates with UK surf-wear brand

Fashion merchant H&M has partnered with UK surfwear brand Ladies + Waves to develop a swimwear collection that winners ‘sustainable’ materials.

Collaborating with all the all-female teams in the Cornish brand in southern England, H&M will later this week release the line of garments on its website, each item of which is made up of fabric blends containing a minimum of 50 percent’ sustainably sourced’ cloth.

“With this H&M cooperation, we actually wanted each slice not.”

“Our neighborhood started from casual once-a-week gatherings and now it has grown into a real collective who constantly supports one another. I hope that the H&M cooperation will inspire women to surf, plus increase awareness of keeping the oceans clean,” she continued.

H&M’s mind of womenswear design, Maria Östblom, added, “It’s unique, confident and inspirational, so we’re absolutely thrilled to be cooperating together. Together, we understood it was essential to have practical and fashionable swimwear as the core of the group, which may then be styled for any event under the present circumstances we’re in, when we could only be able to dream of our summertime vacations,”

The new set is constructed on sustainably sourced materials, including recycled polyamide, recycled polyester, and organic cotton. Each swimwear piece includes fabric combinations having a ratio of at least 50 percent recycled or natural substance.

This project comes on the heels of developments at H&M’s Cos Brand, which has now launched new activewear which integrates recycled nylon and polyester. Upon declaring this venture, the firm said it’d recognized a greater need for apparel having a reduced environmental impact.
