The textile industry is increasingly facing issues such as fibre adulteration, blending, and false claims, especially with high-value materials like organic cotton, recycled fibres, and cashmere. To address this, Haelixa and TextileGenesis have introduced a new multi-layered traceability system that combines Haelixa’s forensic DNA markers, embedded directly into the fibres, with TextileGenesis’ blockchain-inspired digital chain of custody.

Gediminas Mikutis, Founder and CTO of Haelixa, highlighted the significance of verified traceability. He explained that applying natural DNA markers at the fibre level “provides forensic proof of origin,” and when integrated with TextileGenesis’ digital platform, it gives brands “unmatched visibility and confidence” in their material authenticity.
