GTex Intl B2B Textile Machinery Brand Expo concludes with around $17.2mn

GTex Int’l B2B Textile Machinery Brand Expo, the only exhibition of Pakistan Textile Sector in which all major players of industry participate with their leading international brands was opened on Friday, 11th August 2017to 13th August 2017, Sunday with expected business deals worth around $17.2 Million.

The event was organized by Global Enterprise at Lahore Expo Centre which covers Textile, Garment, Digital Printing, Embroidery, Leather Machinery, Chemical & Dyes, Energy and Apparel.

First time in Pakistan, the world’s first fully automatic jeans manufacturing machine was displayed by United Machinery at the expo participated by 97 companies with 399 brands, and 67 foreign delegates from European countries and China.

Pakistan Engineering Council Chairman Engineer Jawed Qureshi and MNA Kiran Dar jointly inaugurated the event. The chief guests visited various stalls and appreciated efforts of organizers to bring new technology through this event.

Engr. Jawed Qureshi said that government should join hands with the private sector to organise such shows for boosting exports, besides making TDAP (Trade Development Authority Pakistan) more active and helpful in this regard.

The business community should be facilitated and offered incentives for more investments as well as provided with cheap electricity for which the government should focus more on hydel source for power generation, he maintained. While, MNA Kiran Dar said that the government was now making stringent efforts to facilitate investors of all sectors.

As many as 109 Companies participated in the Expo with their 417 Brands. About 73 Foreign Delegates from 32 Countries from China and Europe attended. High Profile Dignitaries, Consulates Journals, Diplomats and Government Officials also attended to Grace the event.

Approximately 15,000 Corporate Visitors visited during the three days of Expo. GTex offers a very specialized audience trend with a unique and attractive opportunity to upgrade and meet European GSP + status for value added industry of Pakistan with a live combination of vast machinery display.
