YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2020-06-05 09:54:47 – Hong Kong

Sustainability accelerator GoBlu International is currently making its chemical management app BHive free to obtain for a recent trial period, in a gesture of goodwill at a time when a lot of the industry has faced a massive financial setback.

"While COVID-19 has caused major disruptions to the trend "Our ambition is for the business to keep their work to the elimination of hazardous chemicals and security of seas, rivers and habitats, today that the sector resumes operations following the lockdown."

The BHive app, which was developed to catalog chemical formulations, enables users to picture labels and gain access to product-specific information. Having a database containing over 65,000 chemical goods, GoBlu's software has attracted strong interest from manufacturers, retailers, chemical companies and other stakeholders.

In April, the business announced new updates to its stage including a feature allowing users to compare compliance information across a business' value string.

"It's crucial to not only enable the delivery of accurate and correct by introducing this function in a simple manner, we believe we are steps closer to helping factories and brands shift towards using chemistry that is better," Doemer stated of the update.

Since its launch this past year, GoBlu has enrolled over 200 facilities across nine countries on the app, with the member count now standing in 70 -- together with the likes of Pimkie, Bizzbee, Jules and The Schmidt Group among its newest inductees.

Since the platform continues to garner momentum, GoBlu is keen not to allow the pandemic scupper progress along these lines and, consequently, is devoting a trial period to inquisitive stakeholders eager to see its advantages.

"We would like to donate to the textile and apparel industry staying active and interested in sustainability and digitization," concluded Doemer. "Our company wishes to encourage brands and factories to keep their job for a more sustainable industry following the shutdown."
