Global Fashion Agenda (GFA), in collaboration with Deloitte, has introduced the Fashion Impact Toolkit, an open-source, interactive platform designed to help fashion companies assess and improve their sustainability performance in line with evolving regulatory demands.

The toolkit provides businesses with a structured overview of sustainability impacts, offering a comprehensive visual of the textile value chain. It breaks down activities, sub-activities, and material types to help companies identify key environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues and enhance supplier transparency. The tool also promotes innovation in materials and business models, aligning closely with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).

Designed for a wide range of industry stakeholders, from raw material suppliers to waste handlers, the Fashion Impact Toolkit is relevant across sub-sectors such as luxury, high-street fashion, sportswear, footwear, and textile manufacturing.

Building on a strategic knowledge partnership established between GFA and Deloitte in January, this tool represents a step forward in fostering business-to-business collaboration within the sector. It allows users to filter impacts by material types and geographical regions, helping them tailor assessments to their unique operational context.

Rather than serving as a consumer-facing tool, the Fashion Impact Toolkit focuses on internal decision-making and value chain alignment. Though it cannot reflect every company’s specific operations, it provides a sector-wide baseline to support informed sustainability strategies.
