GBTL introduces FLO Memory Stretch fabrics for suiting

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2026-08-10 13:58:24 – India

India-based GBTL has introduced FLO Memory Stretch, a premium fabric range for suiting and occasion wear that aims to offer greater freedom of movement while helping garments maintain their shape. The collection uses the company's proprietary Rebound Tech and is designed for a range of uses, including business wear, everyday clothing, travel, leisure, parties and weddings.

Stretch fabrics are usually promoted based on how much they can expand when a person sits, bends or moves. GBTL, however, is focusing on elastic recovery, which refers to the fabric's ability to return to its original shape after being stretched. The company considers this an important feature for premium tailoring.

According to GBTL, Rebound Tech allows garments to move comfortably while helping them maintain their structure, drape and appearance even after extended use. This can be particularly useful for trousers, jackets and suits, where stretching around areas such as the knees, elbows and seat can affect the fit and appearance of the garment.

Instead of offering one fabric construction for every application, GBTL has divided the FLO range into six collections based on different occasions. This approach allows the company to adjust factors such as fabric weight, feel, colour, drape and stretch according to the intended use, while maintaining the central focus on fabric recovery.
