Gap partners with Walmart to launch first-ever sustainable home collection

US-based clothing and accessories retailer, Gap Inc. and Walmart has collaborated to launch Gap Home, a new line of home goods available only at Walmart.

For the first time, two of the world’s most renowned brands have teamed up to bring Walmart’s scale and Gap’s brand legacy to life via trademark style in a new product category, inviting people to shop for great designs and classic home essentials in their everyday lives.

The Gap Home launch collection, which will be available exclusively on Walmart.com beginning June 24, will include more than 400 items ranging in price from $15.88 for a Washed Denim Pillow to $64.98 for a T-Shirt Soft Jersey Reversible King Comforter Set, perfect for dressing all spaces, from college dorms to forever homes. Gap Home will release new seasonal and special collections throughout the year, which will be designed in collaboration with Gap’s licensing agency, IMG.

Executive Vice President, Home, Walmart, Anthony Soohoo, said they’re excited that Gap chose Walmart as the sole retailer for the launch of its home collection. Gap, a staple of American fashion, is the right partner to help clients plan and decorate attractive living spaces by bringing its timeless, characteristic style into the modern home.

He adds over the last several years, they’ve focused on developing their home assortment to provide their consumers with high-quality, trendy home items and decor at an unbeatable price. Gap Home is the most recent illustration of how they’ll accomplish that goal.

Gap Home exemplifies the brand’s optimistic, modern American style, which unites people of all ages, generations, and cultures. The debut collection is built with the environment in mind and includes high-quality denim and chambray with distinctive treatments at a price range that is affordable to everyone. The Gap Home collection includes items manufactured with organic cotton and recycled materials.

President and CEO of Gap brand, Mark Breitbard, said Gap Home at Walmart opens a new door for Gap as a lifestyle brand presenting timeless American Style in all-new ways. Walmart is a worldwide leader in the home industry with vast digital reach and distribution, and this relationship enables Gap to establish a new category in a smart, scalable way. They’re thrilled about this expansion opportunity, which will allow even more shoppers to fall in love with Gap.
