Nonwovens
Freudenberg Performance Materials continues to push boundaries with its fine filament nonwoven technology. It combines strength, and customizability across diverse sectors, from construction and filtration to packaging and personal care.
Utilizing mono or bico fibers made from a wide array of polymers, the technology produces lightweight nonwovens. These materials are thermally bonded via flat calendering or point sealing, resulting in nonwovens with exceptional tensile and tear strength and a uniform, smooth surface.
In construction, Freudenberg’s nonwovens enhance products like roofing and facade membranes, vapor barriers, and house wraps, offering high *UV and temperature resistance and nail tear strength. For liquid filtration, the Filtura brand represents this advanced technology, providing high efficiency and regular surface textures for use with coolants, lubricants, and support media for glass fiber, nano filters, and activated carbon.
Freudenberg’s PET/PE fine denier spunbond is also unseful in packaging, especially for desiccant bags and dehumidifier pouches. These materials offer excellent hot sealing without the need for binders. In the coating industry, the nonwovens are prized as chemically resistant, thermally stable coating substrates.
Through its adaptable manufacturing process and cutting-edge material science, Freudenberg continues to set new standards for multifunctional, high-performance nonwoven solutions tailored to the evolving needs of modern industries.
