Freudenberg
Freudenberg Performance Materials’ nonwoven shoe components made in Asia have passed the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification process.
Control Union Certifications accredited all Freudenberg Far Eastern Spunweb sites, making the group a reliable supplier of sustainable shoe components. Among them are Strobel insoles made entirely of recycled polyester, which is lightweight, binder-free, and produces no waste during the cutting process.
Freudenberg Far Eastern Spunweb’s eyelet reinforcements and lightweight strobels have earned GRS approval, indicating that they use recycled materials. The retailer will then assist consumers in measuring the actual quantity of recycled material in their shoes. Leading global sports brands, especially in running and lifestyle shoes, use the company’s GRS-certified materials to support their functional strength.
Freudenberg Far Eastern Spunweb has been using recycled raw materials in its goods since it was founded in 1987. The company is one of the few technical clothing manufacturers in the industry that recycles polyester waste from its own manufacturing operations as pre-consumer recycled polyester, maintaining accurate recycling data and commodity consistency. Many of the products are now manufactured from recycled polyester, both post-consumer and pre-consumer.
