First Texworld Istanbul announced for November 2014 receives excellent response

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2014-08-09 16:30:00 – Turkey

The first Texworld Istanbul has been announced for November 2014 in the Lütfi Kırdar International Convention & Exhibition Center. The launch of Texworld Istanbul marks a very exciting point in the development of Messe Frankfurt in Turkey as they have received excellent response. According to Messe Frankfurt it expects to welcome around 150 exhibitors from 10 countries to the Lütfi Kirdar International Convention & Exhibition Centre from 4-6 November 2014.

Now, following Texworld in Paris and New York, Texworld Istanbul is moving into position as a new member of this strong international brand. The large number of registrations received to date confirms that they are on the right track when decided to hold a biannual platform in this region for the international textile industry, said Olaf Schmidt, Vice President, Textiles & Textile Technologies, Messe Frankfurt.

Exhibitors at Texworld Istanbul, mostly coming from Asia, will reflect the entire market for apparel fabrics and accessories.

The world’s leading textile manufacturing nations, including China, India, Pakistan, Taiwan and South Korea, will be represented with their own pavilions. Thus, the fair is aimed primarily at buyers and trade visitors from Turkey, the Near and Middle East, Central Asia, Southeast Europe, parts of Eastern Europe and Russia.

Texworld Paris and Texworld USA have had close links with the Turkish market on both the exhibitor and visitor sides for a long time. The exhibitor polls conducted at both fairs showed a high level of interest in a fair in Istanbul because there is a great demand in the Turkish market for fabric qualities not produced in the country itself.

In the last ten years, our company has led the path for many Turkish textile professionals to a variety of international markets by offering high-quality fairs all across the globe. Now we are bringing the international fashion fabrics manufacturing base to Turkey.

Turkey is one of the world’s ten biggest textile exporters and holds seventh place as a world garment exporter. According to the Turkish government, the textile and apparel industry turnover amounts around US 28 billion a year.

Thus, visitors and exhibitors will find the product groups they are familiar with from Paris and have no trouble finding their way around. Texworld Istanbul will be characterised by a broad product spectrum and optimum value for money.

Pakistan, for example, will present cotton and functional fabrics. Taiwan focuses on blended fabrics, knitted and functional fabrics for leisurewear and sportswear. India, South Korea and Indonesia are represented by lace, embroidery, silk and silky aspects. Additionally, Turkey, South Korea and Taiwan will be showing products for the knitwear sector.

This new show follows the creation of a first satellite edition of Texworld held twice a year in New York. But the launch of a Turkish event especially marks Texworld's successful modernization the past few seasons.
