Vietnam International Fashion Week 2016 at the fashion show to honour beauty of the two traditional costumes of Vietnam and India, Ao dai and Saree to be held at Ao Dai Museum in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 9 from 1st April.

The two costumes are extremely unique because they have their own identity. The saree, for example, has been in existence for 3,000-5,000 years and has never gone out of fashion.

Similarly ao dai, looks extremely ethnic and at the same time have a very modern look depending on how you wrap it.

They both convey culture, beauty and unique identity. They are beautiful and elegant. Therefore, these two costumes together are pure elegance and style.

The event is organized by the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City and Ao Dai Museum with the participation of the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council and the Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council of India along with local and Indian enterprises.

The event is an opportunity for Vietnamese people to discover the saree’s beauty as well as create opportunity for cooperation between designers of the two countries.

The fashion show also includes an exhibition on silk and national costumes of India. The show will run from 1st April to 30th June.
