eVent Fabrics, PELLIOT to expand PFAS-free outdoor apparel

eVent Fabrics, a global supplier of waterproof and breathable fabric technologies, has partnered with Chinese outdoor brand PELLIOT to introduce its flagship PFAS-free alpineST and windstormST laminates to China’s rapidly growing outdoor apparel market.

“This partnership with PELLIOT marks an important step in reducing the use of PFAS in consumer apparel worldwide,” said Chad Kelly, Vice President of eVent Fabrics. “As one of China’s fastest-growing outdoor brands, PELLIOT has a significant market presence, and this collaboration has the potential to influence the adoption of PFAS-free materials across the country’s rapidly expanding outdoor sports industry.”

The PFAS-free alpineST membrane is designed with performance face fabrics and backers and is finished with a C0 durable water repellent (DWR) treatment. Developed for demanding outdoor activities, it provides reliable waterproof and breathable protection. The material will be featured in the PELLIOT SS27 alpineST Hard Shell Jacket.

The windstormST laminate combines eVent’s plant-based membrane with recycled and lower-impact face and backer fabrics. It is also finished with a C0 DWR treatment and is designed to block wind while repelling light rain and snow. The laminate will be used in the PELLIOT FW26 windstormST Soft Shell Jacket, offering dependable performance across a wide range of outdoor conditions.
