The European Apparel and Textile Confederation (EURATEX) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Tunisia’s textile trade union, Fédération Tunisienne du Textile et de l’Habillement (FTTH), to strengthen collaboration in areas like innovation, sustainability, and industry growth.
The MoU was signed at the Monastir Technopole in Tunisia and highlights a joint commitment to work more closely on sustainable practices, increased investment, and better trade connections under the updated Pan-Euro-Mediterranean Convention framework.
The agreement aims to build a strong and structured partnership between the European and Tunisian textile sectors, especially in the face of changing global supply chains and the growing need for sustainable production.
According to EURATEX, Tunisia is becoming a strong and dependable partner in the current global and economic landscape due to its location and reliability. The agreement also supports Tunisia’s goal of becoming a competitive and circular textile center, while encouraging investment and cooperation with European businesses.
