Ereks-Blue Matters, known for its sustainable jeans production, is venturing into a new initiative. The Turkish garment manufacturer has announced the launch of "Rematters Textile Recycling Solutions," a consultancy focused on establishing circular value systems in the textile industry.

Rematters specializes in helping clients create textile recycling centers by providing technical and operational expertise and access to input and output resources. The company's primary goal is to develop a supply chain that promotes textile circularity while delivering environmental benefits and financial advantages for its clients.

Romain Narcy, the CEO of Rematters, explained, "Our team comprises seasoned experts with over 50 years of combined experience in the textile industry. We thoroughly assess our clients' operations, needs, and challenges."

Rematters has taken lessons from Ereks-Blue Matters' journey to becoming one of the world's most sustainable jeans factories. They faced obstacles such as the absence of separate collection systems for textiles, the need for enhanced sorting technology, and the necessity for improved recycling techniques. They also encountered issues related to the sanitization of post-consumer goods and chemical contamination from original production processes.
