Epoch Biodesign has joined the T2T Alliance to support the development of policy and regulatory systems that can help expand textile-to-textile recycling across Europe. The T2T Alliance represents companies involved in textile-to-textile recycling within the European Union’s policy environment.

Epoch explained that by working with the T2T Alliance, it aims to help expand genuine textile circularity through enforceable standards, strong market signals, and regulatory systems that consider the practical needs of advanced recycling technologies.

The company added that the T2T Alliance is already leading discussions on these topics. By joining the group, Epoch Biodesign intends to ensure that the perspective of next-generation enzymatic recycling is represented in policy discussions in Brussels and to support the creation of regulations that make circular materials the industry norm rather than an exception.

The company develops sustainable materials that can be used in industries such as apparel, automotive, packaging and other sectors. Its bio-recycling platform is designed to process materials that are usually difficult to recycle. The technology uses enzymes created with the help of artificial intelligence, which can break down mixed plastics and textiles at low temperatures, making repeated recycling possible.
