India is set to welcome a modern and advanced facility dedicated to denim and bottomwear production. This facility is being developed through a growing collaboration between Epic Group, a textile trading company based in Hong Kong with factories in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, and Jordan, and Creative Group, a vertically integrated apparel and textile manufacturer from India.

The upcoming unit will have the ability to produce 700,000 garments every month. According to the partners, it will be among the largest facilities in India and help strengthen the country’s role in the international denim industry. The project is being supported by an initial investment of $15 million, with plans to grow this to $60 million in the near future.

In January, the two companies announced the formation of Spectra, a joint venture that aims to set new benchmarks for apparel manufacturing in India.

Spectra combines Epic Group’s international manufacturing experience with Creative Group’s 50 years of textile industry knowledge. The companies stated that their goal is to deliver value to customers, partners, and stakeholders, while helping India emerge as a leading center for sustainable garment production.
