ELeather launches Ancestral Darks recycled leather collection

ELeather, one of the pioneers of engineered leather, has unveiled its latest material collection – Ancestral Darks, which is characterized by Victorian-era references reflected in antique hues, in contrast to its last Eco Brights collection, which was a subtle ode to nature with its light and pastel palette and textures inspired by reuse and recycling.

Ancestral Darks is a shelter against the tumult of modern life, consisting of seven hues inspired by Victorian domesticity with sooty hearths, gildings, candlelight, and heavy velvets. Ancestral Darks demonstrates the versatility of ELeather’s recycled leather for fashion, footwear, and transportation industries, with five various grains ranging from a technological, high fashion Saffiano grain to coarse Tumble and smooth, versatile Sheepskin texture.

All ELeather materials are created by diverting leather waste from landfills and repurposing it as a high-performance, luxury material solution suitable for a wide range of applications, including footwear, leather products, airline, bus, and train seats. As a result, consumers can enjoy the luxury of leather while also recycling trash and conserving over 60% of CO2 and over 55% of water and land in the process when compared to typical leather.

Nicola Fox, our in-house Designer, said that with so much uncertainty in the globe right now, consumers and companies are looking for a safe haven, a soothing, cocooning sensation, which is exactly what this collection provides.
