DuPont has announced the launch of Tyvek APX, a next-generation disposable chemical protective garment material engineered to deliver exceptional comfort without compromising protection or durability. Unveiled at A+A 2025 in Düsseldorf, Germany, Tyvek APX represents the most advanced evolution of the Tyvek fabric platform developed through extensive scientific research and collaboration with end-users across industries.

Overheating remains a critical safety concern in industries such as chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, utilities, and heavy manufacturing. Tyvek APX is designed to mitigate this risk by efficiently dissipating body heat, allowing moisture to escape and air to circulate, thereby enhancing endurance and comfort during extended wear.

The comfort advantages of Tyvek APX are supported by independent physiological testing conducted by Empa, which evaluated its performance against conventional chemical protective garments under varying conditions and activity levels. In addition, global wear trials involving nearly 300 participants across diverse climates and job roles confirmed a strong preference for the enhanced breathability and comfort of Tyvek APX.
