DuPont has introduced its latest Tyvek APX protective fabric to the ASEAN market during the Thailand Safe@Work 2026 exhibition, held in Bangkok from 24 to 26 June. The new material has been developed to provide higher breathability while maintaining the protection and durability expected from Tyvek protective garments.
Tyvek APX represents the latest advancement in DuPont’s Tyvek material technology. Developed through extensive scientific research and collaboration with customers, the new fabric is designed for disposable chemical protective garments that offer improved wearer comfort without compromising safety in demanding industrial environments.
The material has been engineered to address one of the biggest challenges faced by workers wearing protective clothing, excess heat and limited airflow. By improving breathability, Tyvek APX helps workers remain more comfortable during physically demanding tasks while continuing to provide reliable protection against workplace hazards.
Tyvek APX protective coveralls are designed to allow moisture vapour to escape while promoting better air circulation inside the garment. This helps reduce heat build-up and keeps workers more comfortable, particularly in hot and humid environments or during high-intensity activities.
“The DuPont Tyvek brand is recognised in defining protective clothing and synonymous with safety and trusted innovation,” said Dave Kee. “Now we’re taking that legacy to a new level with Tyvek APX, redefining what it means to feel safe and protected.”
