Duke Fashions achieves Make in India award for productivity and innovation

Duke Fashions (India) Limited, a premium lifestyle brand that offers full ranges of clothing for men, women and children. In addition, Duke who have made deep inroads into the thermal, intimate wear, accessories markets as well has achieved the Make in India “National Productivity and Innovation Award” for the year 2014-15 in textiles and garments sector.

The Award was given by Kalraj Mishra, Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to Aman Jain of Duke Fashions (India) Limited in ‘NPI Award Presenting Ceremony’ at New Delhi in the presence of KK Jalan, Secretary MSME, SN Tripathi, DC Development Commission and Sidharth Sharma, Deputy Director General NPC and overall incharge of awards.

The ‘Make In India’ Award act as a morale booster and catalyst for Duke to strive hard to achieve even higher levels of productivity and innovation and to become active partners in the Make in India campaign of the Government. Total 51 awards were given in 6 sectors of MSME and Duke bagged first award in textile category.

Komal Kumar Jain, Chairman Duke Fashions (India) Limited expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation for the invaluable contribution and cooperation of their channel partners, colleagues and employees who have been their consistent source of inspiration in helping them achieve their business results and deliver best-in-class and qualitative products to local and global markets.

He further added that they are improving not only the productivity and quality of their industrial goods but also of their entrepreneurial talent through innovations. A large part of the credit for this growth in the business goes to those people who have been very pro-active on the business of Duke.

Their products are cost competitive and affordable to common people. They plan for an even larger growth in the innovation and production ahead. With the support of the Duke Team they are confident of achieving this.

Union Minister Kalraj Mishra said that they have to aim at improving not only the productivity and quality of industrial goods but also of entrepreneurial talent through innovations and only then they could translate their strength of human capital dividends into an effective mode of socio-economic development and all round productivity.

He expressed hope that through the improved productivity and innovation demonstrated by the award winners, the scheme will motivate others to follow the path of excellence and to make India the global manufacturing hub.
