Dimension-Polyant, globally recognized for its advanced sailcloth and X-Pac brand of durable, weatherproof fabrics for packs and bags, is set to showcase its latest innovations at Performance Days in Munich on October 29–30. Taking centre stage will be the X-Pac VX21 OE, a sustainable upgrade of the company’s most popular fabric, widely used by leading global backpack and bag brands.
The face fabric of X-Pac VX21 OE, a four-layer laminate, is crafted from GRS-certified, 100% recycled regen Ocean Nylon, derived from discarded fishing nets. Matching the strength and durability of conventional nylon, it reduces COâ‚‚ emissions by 73% and fossil resource use by 76% compared to virgin materials.
The fabric is reinforced with Dimension-Polyant’s X-Ply fibre reinforcement technology, made from 100% post-consumer recycled PET, and backed by a lightweight recycled taffeta for improved stitching strength. Offering waterproof protection and long-lasting performance, the laminate is finished with a non-fluorinated durable water repellent (DWR) coating and comes in shades of black, white, arctic grey, and sea green.
The company will also spotlight the X-Pac RX30, a new three-layer laminate engineered for versatile performance across outdoor and urban environments. X-Pac RX30 features a face fabric crafted from recycled PET bottles, reinforced with Dimension-Polyant’s recycled X-Ply fibres for added strength, flexibility, and waterproof capability.
