Denim resale platform Denim Library partners with Gap

Gap has announced a collaboration with Denim Library, a denim resale platform, on a pre-loved denim collection.

The range will debut in time for the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend, and will comprise vintage Gap denim and classic Gap pieces, as well as one-of-a-kind things and rare antiques.

From June 2 to 5, the collection, which consists of 100 vintage Gap garments collected by Denim Library, will be on display in-store at 120 Oxford Street in London.

The collection has been divided into three categories: ‘Common,’ three to five years old, ‘Unique,’ a cooperation item or one-of-a-kind, or ‘Rare,’ over ten years old and particularly sourced.

While the American brand no longer has standalone stores in the UK after closing all of its stores during the pandemic’s peak, it has continued to launch initiatives in the region and has returned to the British high street through Next, which acquired the rights to operate the label’s UK and EIRE operations in September 2021.

Gap’s presence in the region has taken another step forward with this new cooperation with the Denim Library, which was launched by Claire John in 2021.

The freshly launched Denim Library has been designed as a designated denim space on the resale market, featuring hand-picked edits of preloved designs and upcycled jeans from Levi’s, Acne, and Wrangler, among others.
