Denim Première Vision 2016 returns to Paris this November

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2016-07-29 16:00:00 – Uk

The leading premium denim supply show, Denim Premiere Vision, since its creation in 2007 has affirmed itself as a driving force for the international denim community. The next edition of Denim Première Vision, in November 2016, invests in a new Parisian space, the Paris Event Center (PEC), after five editions in Barcelona where the event took on a new dimension.

Chantal Malingrey, Director of Denim Première Vision said that Denim Première Vision has a strong international network of specialists in daily contact with the market. Thanks to their global overview of the market, they are constantly listening to, and up to date with industry developments, and so they are able to take new initiatives to adapt to the changing needs of the industry.

He further said that Paris being the fashion capital of the world, comes with cultural and inspirational influences for exhibitors and the brands visiting the trade show. It’s also an easy hub to access from other major cities in world and is able to host a large number of visitors. About 4,000 international denim heads visit the show.

Each season for the last 10 years, the show has reinvented itself to better meet the needs of a demanding and versatile industry, and the expectations of brands and of consumers in the constant quest for what’s exclusive and inspiring.

By moving to this new event venue in the east of Paris, already chosen by some major fashion players for their fashion shows and showrooms, the organizers of Denim Première Vision are acting on thoughts that have been formed over several seasons to meet the expectations of the global denim market to be inventive.

Denim Première Vision Paris is also changing its dates in line with the Spring/Summer 2018 collections. The growth of mid-season collections and the increase of seasonal development ranges around brands’ main collections have changed the timing of design and product development becoming more sophisticated leading to requirement of an earlier start to the creative process. These earlier dates correspond to an adjustment in relation to the market’s realities, elaborates Chantal.

After the 2016 edition, another two will take place from April 25-26, and November 8-9 next year.
