Demand for eco-friendly fashion met by TÜV Rheinland, BluWin

To fulfil the growing customer demand for ecologically friendly products, independent technical services expert TÜV Rheinland and integrated service provider BluWin have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The two players in the textile sector declared they would work together on awareness campaigns and business gatherings to advance more environmentally friendly practices and knowledge-sharing among shareholders.

Through the partnership, TÜV Rheinland will collaborate closely with the chemical management company to lessen the negative consequences of the textile sector. TÜV Rheinland will draw on its experience in quality assurance, certification, and verifications. By doing this, the team hopes to spur change throughout the entire industry and hasten the adoption of more environmentally friendly practices in the fashion business.

“We are delighted to collaborate with TÜV Rheinland to advance environmental standards within the textiles and apparel industry,” Omar Orrego, general manager for BluWin, said. “BluWin’s expert services will benefit brands and retailers, manufacturers, and other stakeholders through adopting sustainable practices, and installing process efficiency improvement as we combat environmental challenges ahead.”

The structural basis of TÜV Rheinland North America’s new technology and innovation center (TIC), the company’s biggest product testing and certification facility in the Americas, was finished in April. Also in April, BluWin and GoBlu International partnered strategically to promote the use of more environmentally friendly chemical compounds in the fashion sector and to increase data accessibility and transparency.
