Deloitte Singapore joins TaFF as knowledge partner

Singapore’s Textile and Fashion Federation (TaFF) has welcomed Deloitte Singapore to its Bridge Fashion Innovator program (TBFI) as a knowledge partner, bringing their expertise to the program's rich network of experienced panelists.

The Bridge Fashion Innovator (TBFI), a project of the Textile and Fashion Federation (TaFF), is an eight-week program that puts start-ups in the fashion and lifestyle industries through a number of modules to prepare them for the local and international markets.

Deloitte experts will be key speakers in the modules, s part of the program focusing on: Customer segment identification, The industry landscape in Singapore and globally, Market trends and business strategies, including strategies around sustainability and climate change.

Charles Ling, Ph.D, Senior Director of the TBFI program said that the expectations imposed on the fashion and lifestyle business today are unparalleled. New techniques that merge creativity with dexterity, address form, and function, connect commerce everywhere and recognize innovation everywhere.

On August 12, 2022, the sixth and most recent cohort of TBFI completed the program. The participants represented a wide range of start-ups in the fashion and lifestyle industries, including those with expertise in the supply chain, biotech, sustainability, technology, and these sectors' specific technologies.

Participants in the TBFI program may anticipate taking courses in which they learn to create a lean canvas for their companies, a method that enables start-ups to swiftly define their concepts and assess their viability. They will then finish additional programs in technology, soft skills, sustainability, branding, merchandising, digital marketing, and analytics. In-depth guidance to improve their solutions and approach will be provided to them in one-on-one meetings with specialized mentors using a systematic and disciplined design thinking technique. Participants are also given access to TBFI's innovation network and community, which gives them the chance to increase their impact and growth rate.
