D-TECH’s takes on respiratory mask innovation

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2020-08-07 10:10:39 – Austria

After successfully launching the D-TECH line of surgical and medical masks in April 2020, the international technology company is now presenting its new D-TECH face mask line for respiratory masks, such as duckbill and flat food respirators.

The new line of ANDRITZ D-TECH respiratory mask line is customizable to laminate different layers of fabric while ensuring the highest quality and hygiene standards. The line contains unwinding and guiding units for non woven webs, automatic splicing of all raw materials, cutting and positioning devices for the metal nose bar, an edge welding and cutting unit, a 90° rotation process, positioning and welding of the ear loop elastics, as well as quality control using the D-TECH Vision System. In addition to this, a broad variety of options are available for the mainline. The machine dimensions can be customized according to the customer’s plant requirements.

The customers look forward to having a fully  automated production line which includes complete ultrasonic technology, a facility to include printing systems, and an interface to the automatic packaging machine. There are also various packing options available so the products can be packed in bags by an automatic flow pack machine or a cardboard box by an automated cartoner.

The newly developed respiratory mask provides a higher level of protection for the user as well as the environment due to its particle retention capacity. It is a high quality product and prevents leakage when compared to conventional protective masks. The company also facilitates producers operating an ANDRITZ D-TECH surgical mask line to upgrade it to produce respiratory masks with a special kit.

ANDRITZ Diatec is one of the globally known specialists for converting machines for the production of hygiene end products such as diapers for children and adults, feminine hygiene, underpads, absorbent pads for the food industry, surgical face masks, and now also respiratory face masks.
