CottonConnect has entered into a strategic partnership with the Cotton Development Board (CDB) of Bangladesh to strengthen cotton standards and promote sustainability within the sector. The collaboration aims to raise the quality of cotton production while introducing environmentally responsible farming methods.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between the two organizations, creating a joint framework to advance cotton research, promote sustainable agricultural practices, improve fiber quality, and build a transparent, traceable supply chain. The initiative also seeks to connect farmers directly with brands and consumers while encouraging regenerative farming for long-term ecological benefits.

Md Rezaul Amin, Executive Director of the Cotton Development Board, said: “By focusing on farmer empowerment, climate resilience, technological innovation, and market diversification, the MoU promises to benefit both producers and consumers while contributing to environmental stewardship. Its focus on knowledge sharing, capacity building, and joint projects will drive long-term growth, better farmer livelihoods, and stronger global recognition for Bangladeshi cotton.”
