Coach, the American luxury brand, has partnered once again with Bank & Vogue (B&V), the parent company of the European vintage retailer Beyond Retro, to address textile waste through design innovation. Together, they have launched a new line of limited-edition handbags made from repurposed corduroy that was originally headed for landfills.
This partnership combines Coach’s traditional craftsmanship with B&V’s knowledge in circular design. “Collaborating like this feels like a natural next step,” said Steven Bethell, founder of Bank & Vogue. “Coach’s craftsmanship and our experience in textile reuse show how circular fashion can thrive in the luxury segment.”
The collection features two key designs, the Patchwork Corduroy Cargo Tote and the Patchwork Corduroy Cargo Tote 26. Both come in warm shades of brown and beige with a bold Coach logo and are priced between $350 and $395.
This initiative follows the duo’s earlier project in March 2024, when they created the Coach Soho handbags from reused denim. That collaboration inspired Coach to carry out a life cycle assessment, which revealed that using post-consumer denim could reduce carbon emissions by up to 80 percent and water usage by 95 percent compared to new fabric.
