Circulose, TextileGenesis partner for traceability in supply chains

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2025-09-23 07:19:45 – Hong Kong

Circulose has announced a partnership with TextileGenesis, a Lectra company, to bring end-to-end supply chain traceability to its products for fashion brands. Through this collaboration, every kilo of Circulose pulp, produced entirely from discarded textiles, will be digitally tracked through to the final garment.

Over time, the partners aim to extend this traceability further upstream. The system provides brands with verified, data-backed visibility, helping them strengthen circularity claims, build consumer trust, and meet upcoming regulatory standards.

“As the industry shifts to preferred and circular materials, strong traceability is critical to ensure the integrity of sustainability claims,” said Jonatan Janmark, CEO of Circulose. “By embedding traceability through TextileGenesis as part of our integrated solution, we make it simple for all brands purchasing Circulose.”

TextileGenesis’ Fibercoin system assigns a unique digital token to every unit of Circulose, recording each step of transformation along the supply chain while preventing double-counting. This creates a secure and real-time chain of custody from pulp to finished garment.

With integrated traceability and a licensing-based pricing model, the collaboration lowers barriers for brands transitioning away from virgin fibres. All fashion brands working with Circulose will now gain access to full supply chain transparency.
