Circular Systems partners with Nishat Mills to scale regenerative textiles

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2021-12-21 13:26:17 – USA

US-based materials science company, Circular Systems, has entered into a licensing arrangement with Nishat Mills to better fulfill mass orders for customers all around the world, allowing it to scale its good impact.

Circular Systems' Texloop RCOT Primo recycled cotton and Agraloop BioFibre yarns will be produced more efficiently thanks to a partnership with Nishat Mills, the Nishat Group's flagship company.

This is the first time Circular Systems has formally cooperated in a licensing role with a company in Southeast Asia.

Circular Systems claims it will open access to the mass-scale textile market with sustainable materials in the region and greatly grow its client base by building on Nishat Mills' strong network of partnerships. Circular Systems will be able to increase its sustainability reach in the region as a result of the relationship, as well as streamline its capacity to fulfill recurring orders and offer more competitive pricing.

Nishat Mills, a Pakistani vertically integrated textile company with 70 years of experience in yarn, fabric, home furnishings, towels, and garments, is an authorized supplier of major international brands including H&M.

Isaac Nichelson, CEO and co-founder of Circular Systems, said that the partnership between Circular Systems and Nishat Mills presents a significant opportunity to bring Texloop RCOT Primo and Agraloop BioFibre to major retailers who previously had limited access to the materials needed to create truly sustainable collections.

Nichelson added that they're delighted to extend access to low-impact yarns and materials in the South Asia region by partnering with Nishat Mills and introducing their brands to a new market. They'll continue to work together to improve the circular economy and prevent environmental harm in the textile industry.

Circular Systems and Nishat Mills will collaborate to provide new, long-term solutions at the start of the textile manufacturing process. The agreement will enable considerable reductions in water, chemical, and energy usage, as well as greenhouse gas generation (GHG), across the textile-making process, thanks to Nishat's scale and reach into the global textile industry.

Maqsood Ahmad, executive director of Nishat Mills Ltd, said that Nishat Mills has a tradition of providing top-quality textiles and apparel to their customers around the world. They're excited to join with Circular Systems in this new chapter to incorporate circularity into their processes, and they look forward to this cooperation as they embrace a more sustainable approach to production.
