Circular Structures, a sustainable composites development platform based in Bremen, Germany, has joined the Technical Section of the Alliance for European Flax-Linen & Hemp. The addition strengthens the alliance’s mission to boost the use of European-grown flax and hemp fibres in high-performance composite applications.

With its entry, Circular Structures becomes part of a growing network of over 25 members, including fibre growers, spinners, weavers, processors, and solution providers. Together, these partners cover the entire value chain, from farming to advanced manufacturing, supporting a coordinated and scalable approach to sustainable materials.

“Circular Structures brings valuable expertise in engineering and the practical use of flax-based composites, seen in projects like Greenboats for marine applications and Greenlander in off-road mobility,” said Bruno Pech, Innovation Project Manager at the alliance. “Its addition strengthens the technical capabilities of the alliance and our shared effort to meet industrial performance needs while lowering environmental impact. We are delighted to welcome them.”

The Technical Section of the alliance acts as a collaborative hub where members exchange data, validate materials, and work towards technical goals that address adoption challenges such as performance testing, supply chain integration, and market awareness. Circular Structures will contribute to this through sustainable material incubation, panel production, and open collaboration with external brands.
