Textile-to-textile recycling company Circ, based in Danville, Virginia, has announced a new partnership with Xinxiang Bailu Chemical Fiber, one of the world’s major producers of viscose filament.
The partnership represents an important step in Circ’s expansion in China and strengthens its role in the country’s fast-growing circular textile industry. It will also improve the company’s ability to supply recycled fibres closer to existing fashion manufacturing supply chains.
“This agreement is an important milestone in strengthening Circ’s presence in Asia and expanding our global network of manufacturing partners who share our vision,” said Peter Majeranowski, CEO of Circ.
Founded in 1960, Xinxiang Bailu Chemical Fiber will act as a commercial partner for Circ in China and will produce viscose filament made with recycled content. The company was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 1999 and manufactures more than ten different product categories, including viscose filament and spandex. It also has the largest viscose filament production capacity in the world.
