Textile recycling company Circ has entered a strategic partnership with Portugal-based polyester producer Selenis to industrially process and polymerise thousands of metric tons of Circ Polyester made from end-of-life textiles.

Through this collaboration, Circ will utilise Selenis' advanced polymerisation infrastructure and technical expertise to transform recycled textile-derived monomers into high-quality Circ Polyester, suitable for a wide range of apparel.

The partnership offers a scalable and circular solution that integrates seamlessly into existing fashion supply chains, aiming to make circular polyester more commercially viable and accessible.

This move will accelerate the commercial production of Circ Polyester within Europe and supports Circ’s broader mission to deliver sustainable alternatives for both polyester and synthetic cellulosic materials like lyocell in the global fashion industry.

Circ CEO Peter Majeranowski highlighted the significance of this step, stating: “Selenis has been a trusted partner in our journey. This collaboration marks a major step forward in our goal to produce Circ Polyester at industrial scale, aligning with our dual-product strategy of offering both recycled lyocell and polyester to meet increasing demand for circular materials.”
