Chinese investors see ample scope for investment in Pakistan textile sector

Head of Yantai Chamber of Commerce, China Du Yonggang during a visit to APTMA Punjab on Thursday said that the visit of Chinese delegation to APTMA has improved understanding of Pakistan’s textile industry among Chinese businessmen.

He expressed the hope that Chinese prospective investor will analyze the information provided by APTMA and decide undertaking investment in Punjab. Various industry projects including technical textile could be the prospective future cooperation between China and Pakistan.

Senior Vice Chairman APTMA Seth Muhammad Akbar and Chairman APTMA Punjab S M Tanveer welcomed the Chinese delegation at the APTMA Punjab office speaking on the occasion, Seth Akbar said that interaction between APTMA and the Yantai Chamber would boost cooperation in the textiles and energy sectors. This cooperation will bring synergies of strength between the two countries.

He further added that the APTMA has reached an understanding with the Chinese Machinery Engineering Corporation for setting up of a 330 MW coal-fired power plant.
