‘Re-bound’ is the second sustainable collection dropped by streetwear brand Champion. The unisex collection is created from "washed black" that is 45 % of pre-consumer recycled cotton and is inspired by vintage styles. Faces like Obi Kyei and Amber will be the heart of the campaign. They will spread the message behind the collection and will also address similar environmental issues. Champion says their conviction to adapt eco-friendly and ethical practices in fashion enables them to honour the local champions Obi and Amber who are actively working for the cause on an individual level.
He adds, being associated with NBL, they were keenly interested and excited to keep the basketball, fashion and sustainable future in one frame, thus portraying their faces for the second drop of Re-bound.
Obi also showed his strong will and desire to create his own sustainable clothing label, in September 2020. He strongly supports the initiative taken by Champion and also mentions that we as fashion designers and normal human beings need to start thinking about new designs, ideas, lifestyle and concepts which majorly focuses on sustainability.
