Brooklyn Bedding launches two new eco-friendly mattresses with GOTS

Brooklyn Bedding recently updated its EcoSleep line with two new mattresses, EcoSleep and EcoSleep Luxe. These mattresses are certified by Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and Greenguard Gold, ensuring they meet high environmental and safety standards. Available online at EcoSleep.com, these mattresses provide an affordable option for those looking for all-natural latex mattresses.

The EcoSleep and EcoSleep Luxe models use safe materials, including eco-Institut-certified talalay latex, GOTS-certified cotton, and organic EcoPlush wool. These materials create a hypoallergenic, supportive, and breathable sleep solution. The CEO, John Merwin, emphasizes the careful selection of organic and environmentally friendly materials to offer a healthy sleep solution.

Both EcoSleep models feature layers of sustainably sourced organic wool and organic cotton in their quilted top covers. These layers regulate temperature, retain shape, and act as a natural fire retardant. Wool’s hypoallergenic properties help prevent the buildup of dust mites and allergens.

EcoSleep Luxe goes a step further by adding organic cashmere and two layers of wool for a plusher feel. Both models include 100% natural talalay latex below the wool layers, offering a buoyant feel to relieve tension and promote relaxation. EcoSleep has a 3-inch latex layer, while EcoSleep Luxe adds a denser latex layer for extra support.

The mattresses incorporate eight-inch coils to enhance response, body-contouring support, and minimize motion disturbance during sleep. An organic wool base in each build adds fire protection and additional support to the mattresses.

Brooklyn Bedding achieved Greenguard Gold and GOTS certifications in 2022 after rigorous examinations, inspections, and testing. GOTS, established in 2006, sets standards for organic status and socially responsible textile manufacturing throughout the supply chain, ensuring environmentally friendly production and social accountability in the organic textile sector.
