Biella Yarn, the flat knitting brand of Suedwolle Group, has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2027/2028 collection, New Romance, at Pitti Filati in Florence, held from 24 to 26 June 2026. The new collection explores the connection between yarns, technology, and human senses, highlighting how traditional fibres and modern innovations can work together while preserving their individual qualities.

Inspired by the relationship between material, touch, and interaction, the collection focuses on the emotional and sensory experience of textiles. Alongside the new yarn developments, Biella Yarn has also introduced a refreshed visual identity with an updated logo and a cleaner, more modern design approach.

Among the latest additions are yarns made with Global Recycled Standard (GRS)-certified fibres. These include Colla TEC Nm 2/30, made from 55 percent GRS-certified cationic moisture management polyester and 45 percent Merino Wool Extrafine Total Easy Care, and Kusi GRS Nm 2/30, which combines 45 percent Merino Wool Extrafine Total Easy Care with 55 percent GRS-certified cationic polyester. These yarns support a more responsible approach to material sourcing while offering improved moisture management and durability.

The collection also introduces Cache Betaspun RWS GRS Nm 2/48, produced using Betaspun technology. The yarn consists of 70 percent Responsible Wool Standard (RWS)-certified Merino Wool Extrafine Total Easy Care, 24 percent GRS-certified polyamide, and 6 percent filament polyamide. The addition of filament polyamide improves abrasion resistance and reduces pilling, making the fabric suitable for clean, sporty, and technical knitwear.

For softer and more natural textures, Biella Yarn has developed blends that combine premium natural fibres. These include Calisora Nm 2/48, which blends Merino wool, linen, and cashmere, and Inca Nm 3/16, made from Merino wool and superfine alpaca. These yarns are designed to offer warmth, softness, and comfort while maintaining a refined appearance.
