BHE plan to upgrade its existing Ludhiana facility making investment of Rs15cr

Bhandari Hosiery Exports (BHE), a leading exporter, manufacturer and supplier of garments from Ludhiana are planning to gradually strengthen their backward integration business, which will ultimately support their core business of textile manufacturing for which they plan to invest Rs 15 crore in installing machineries for yarn dyeing and sewing threads units at its existing facility at Ludhiana.

BHE chairman and managing director Nitin Bhandari said that the capex required for the expansion plan will be funded through internal accruals and bank loans. Last year, they had invested Rs 22 crore in expanding their fabrics division.

BHE is engaged in the manufacturing of cotton-knitted garments for export. On upgrading their Ludhiana facility, it hopes to achieve exports of Rs 40 crore on a turnover of Rs 170 crore in FY 16 as compared to exports of Rs 20 crore on a turnover of Rs 120 crore in FY 15.

The company exports its products to Germany, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Norway, US, UK, Canada, Hungary and Finland. The EEC countries also offer a huge market for knitted and ready-made cotton garments.
