Ba&sh partners with CaaStle to launch clothing rental service

French fashion label Ba&sh has launched its clothing rental service, Borrow, in the United States in partnership with Caastle.

Caastle, a B2B rental technology platform based in the United States, powers the platform. Borrow demonstrates the brand’s continuous commitment to circularity, allowing customers to wear the pieces as many times as they like for a fraction of the retail price.

Peirre-Arnaud Grenade, global CEO of Ba&sh, said that they’re ecstatic to be working with Caastle to bring Ba&sh Borrow to the United States. Because innovation, responsibility, and service are at the core of their brand strategy, this rental product will enable them to reach out to a broader, more socially conscious clientele and allow them to consume differently with them.

In early 2020, Ba&sh launched its first rental platform in its market area in France. Due to high client demand, the company decided to team up with Caastle for its US launch.

Dresses, knitwear, coats, shirts, and bottoms will be among the items available on the site for Fall/Winter 2021. Customers can either return the items with dry cleaning and free shipping, continue to rent, or purchase the item at a discounted price after the original rental period has ended. If the daily rental charges equal the original sale price, the customer will own the item without paying any further expenses.

Christine Hunsicker, founder and CEO of Caastle, said that Borrow expands Ba&sh’s audience to new and aspirational customers by providing a novel and accessible method to interact with the brand.
