Bannari Amman Spinning to set up a textile project signs MoU with Tamilnadu Govt

Bannari Amman Spinning Mills Ltd. is an India-based company engaged in the business of manufacturing cotton yarn, woven and coated fabrics, garments and wind power generation having more than 1.60 lakh spindles also weaving divison specializes in manufacturing wide-width cotton fabric. In February 2014, Bannari Amman Spinning Mills Ltd. promoted a wholly owned subsidiary, Abirami Amman Mills Private Ltd to implement the new projects in future.

Abirmai Amman Mills has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Tamil Nadu government for setting up of a textile project near Dindigul in the state. The new project would attract an investment of around Rs 250 crore.

According to a senior official having direct knowledge of the project, the new project will have production capacity of 15,000 spindles

The mill caters to Tirupur, Calcutta and Kanpur markets and exports around 24% of its production to Israel, Mauritius, Egypt, Taiwan and South Korea.
