Bangladesh govt decides to reopen the closed jute mills soon

During the tenure of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, jute mills that are closed will be reopened, as a part of this the Rajshahi Jute Mills which in the rule of last alliance government was decided to sell off, the second unit of RJM will be reopened.

Textile and Jute Minister Imazuddin Pramanik while talking as chief guest at an exchange of view meeting with officials and employees of RJM at the board room of the mills on Sunday announced to restart the second unit of Rajshahi Jute Mills soon.

The work has been started to establish second unit of RJM where 206 weaving and milling machine will be set up. The re-establishment of mill will give employment opportunity to around 1,200 people. He further added that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had declared to nationalize jute mills of the country.

No jute mills will be sold but those closed will be restarted soon. The decision came in, thinking over the plight of poverty stricken people.
