ThreadBridge has announced that its AI-powered smart glasses have helped save 37 tons of carbon emissions across four garment factories in Bangladesh through instant defect detection and production optimization.
According to ThreadBridge, the smart glasses use AI-based instant defect detection technology to identify production problems directly on the factory floor. The system enables workers and supervisors to detect faults at an earlier stage of production, helping reduce material waste, minimise rework, and lower energy consumption during manufacturing processes.
The company stated that the technology has already been introduced in four ready-made garment factories in Bangladesh, where it has reportedly delivered measurable environmental benefits while also improving production efficiency.
The company added that faster defect detection can significantly reduce unnecessary fabric usage, avoid production delays, and cut excess energy use caused by repeated manufacturing steps.
