Attempt to make Vegan Fashion Week the standard fashion week in the future

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2019-01-11 17:26:00 – Los Angeles

The four-day event aims to end animal exploitation in the industry by educating fashion lovers about the ethical, social, and environmental issues surrounding the use of animals in the industry. Los Angeles will host the very first Vegan Fashion Week this February. It's a fitting home for it; LA recently became the biggest city in America to ban the use of fur.

Emmanuelle Rienda, Vegan Fashion Week founder and animal rights activist, says: “I want to ignite conversations and debates within the industry by educating, elevating and drawing connections between our most important values: our respect for human life, animal rights, and the environment.”

Reinda seeks to take the event to other fashion-forward cities in an attempt to make Vegan Fashion Week the standard fashion week in the future. We are familiar with New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks, but this season there's something completely different coming to the fashion calendar.
