Asket introduces Returnado Rescue platform

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2021-05-07 09:25:08 – Sweden

Returnado, a Swedish startup, has unveiled a Rescue platform that will fuel ASKET's latest Revival Program. This tool, which was created in collaboration with a sustainable menswear brand, seeks to assist brands in extending the lifecycle of their products and adopting a more circular approach to consumption.

Brands will acquire unwanted goods long after the refund period has ended and, regardless of their condition, giving them a new lease on life through resale, remanufacture, and recycling through a digital portal.

Consumers get a coupon that can be used to purchase new items in exchange for registering their return. Returnado manages the production of vouchers and guarantees that goods are sent to the right location on the backend.

Haider Abdo, CEO and Founder of Returnado, said as one of the leading suppliers of online returns technology, they understand the importance of disrupting the fashion industry's linear development model.

He adds that they prolong the life of the materials used to create an object by expanding the life of the item. That is why, when ASKET, a company associated with reducing overconsumption, approached them about working on this initiative, they were eager to partner and lend their expertise and technology to help them achieve their goals. They're ecstatic to be able to make this technology available to help brands all over the world transition to more holistic and long-term market models.

For over a year, Returnado has become ASKET's global returns solution.

Co-founder of ASKET, Jakob Dworsky, said their philosophy has always been to make clothes that can last the test of time, allowing them to be worn and used again, but after six years, they've discovered that some of their buyers have outgrown their parts.

He adds that after entrusting Returnado with their returns operation, they thought they'd be the ideal partner to assist us in taking the process a step further and claiming responsibility for their garments at the conclusion of their useful life.
